2025: Join us for the Year of Croeso

Our partners at Visit Wales have announced their campaign theme for 2025, aimed at bringing more visitors to discover Cymru: Croeso / Welcome.

Here in the Dramatic Heart of Wales, our close-knit communities give a warm Welsh welcome to all who visit – whether you’re enjoying a coastal stay, a rural getaway, a riverside escape, or a town-centre trip.

During the Year of Croeso, we will be encouraging our visitors and locals to experience moments of Hwyl – meaning a sense of carefree joy and happiness, felt only in Wales.

Read on to discover how you can #FeeltheHwyl here in the centre of south Wales.

Walk in ancient footsteps

Home to the largest Cistercian Abbey in Wales – as well as a Celtic Stones Museum, a Gothic Mansion, a Victorian Orangery, a farm trail, mountain bike routes, and acres of rolling parkland – Margam Country Park welcomes visitors to explore Welsh heritage through time.

With adventure and intrigue around every corner of this listed Country Park, Margam welcomes visitors and well-behaved dogs to stroll through its sprawling grounds throughout the year. Discover ancient history in the stones museum, and learn how the monks once ruled the land in the Abbey. Visit the Gothic Mansion to discover the influential story of the Mansel-Talbot family, or enjoy a hair-raising e-bike tour along the many bike trails.
