Are your little wizards and witches ready to celebrate all things that go bump in the night?

It’s time to get into the spirit of spooky season and book in some eerie-sistable events in the Dramatic Heart of Wales!

If you’re not sure where to start, here’s our pick of the very best Halloween events in Neath Port Talbot this autumn – and you’d be a ghoul to miss them!


Hocus Pocus Outdoor Cinema

This iconic outdoor cinema screening is certain to put a spell on you at Margam Country Park on October 29th.

From 4.45pm audiences are in for a trick or treat with the screening of the film classic Hocus Pocus!

Don’t miss the Sanderson sisters as they run amok in Salem in this 1993 classic.

Day of the Dead – Children’s Halloween Party

Creep it real at this fa-boo-lous children’s Halloween party at Seven Sisters Community Hall on October 28th.

From 5pm to 7.30pm let your little zombies indulge in spooky Halloween games and frightening fun.

This event is suitable for children aged under 7 and all children must be accompanied by an adult. Entry by ticket only.

Margam Halloween Dance Trail

Fancy dancing in the moonlight at Margam Country Park from October 28th to November 6th?

The Halloween Dance Trails Game is launching on the Love Exploring App this Halloween and visitors to the park are in for a thriller of a night.

Free to download, the game allows visitors to dance with different creepy characters throughout the trail, and there’s certain to be a few surprises along the way!

If you’re planning to visit the Dramatic Heart of Wales over October half term then don’t forget to book in advance!

Halloween Crafts for Children

If your little werewolves and witches love nothing more than a creepy craft session then this is for them!

Taibach Community Library is hosting a Halloween crafts session every Saturday from 10.30am to 12.30pm.

The one-hour session, for children five years old and over, will include all craft materials to make some fang-tastic creations to take home.

All children must be supervised by an adult.

Escape to the Library

Do your little ones fancy a Halloween challenge?

Then ‘Escape to the Library’ at Gwaun-Cae-Gurwen Library is the place for them to be!

On November 3rd the library will be holding two family-friendly Halloween escape room sessions, from 10am to 11am children aged 10 and under can unleash their inner code breaker. Then from 11.30am to 12.30pm children aged 10 and over and teenagers can join in the fun!
