It’s Panto Season in The Dramatic Heart of Wales

Are you ready for Panto season? Oh yes we are!

Glass slippers, beanstalks, Ebenezer Scrooge, and even British and Irish Lions and Wales rugby hero, Richard Hibbard, are heading to the stage in Neath Port Talbot from this month.

Whether you’re planning a festive night out, or a Christmas weekend away, Neath Port Talbot is the place to be.

So here’s our pick of the best shows putting the dramatic in Dramatic Heart of Wales from this December.


Jack and the Beanstalk – Princess Royal Theatre

Fe Fi Fo Fum I smell a classic fairytale story heading to the Princess Royal Theatre.

From 1st-10th December, Jack and the Beanstalk will be taking over the theatre with former Wales rugby player Richard Hibbard set to voice the giant.

This hilarious show will be filled with magic, laughs, music and amazing special effects – this is one giant pantomime not to be missed!

There is also a British Sign Language (BSL) and relaxed performance set to take place on December 4th.

Cinderella – Pontardawe Arts Centre

Cinderella will be going to the ball at Pontardawe Arts Centre this December.

Families are invited to a pantomime spectacular featuring all the traditional fun of the festive season from 10th-19th December.

Featuring songs, laugh-out-loud comedy, and plenty of dancing, families are certain to love this Christmas cracker.

There will also be a BSL/Relaxed performance on December 10th.

A Christmas Carol – Neath Little Theatre

From 5th-10th December, Charles Dickens’s classic Christmas tale, featuring three very memorable ghosts, will be coming to Neath.

Prepare to go on a journey with the infamous Ebenezer Scrooge as he is visited by the ghosts of past, present and future, who attempt to change his fate just in time for Christmas.

Cinderella – Gwyn Hall

Bibbity Bobbity Boo – Cinderella is back in January!

This time, this magical rags to riches tale will be performed at the Gwyn Hall from 6th– 15th January.

With fairy godmothers, pumpkins, an evil stepmother and ugly step-sisters all set to take to the stage, this pantomime will deliver magic for all the family.
