Tour of Britain: The Last Leg

The UK’s most prestigious cycle race, the annual Tour of Britain, takes place in just a few weeks – and the countdown is on!

Sixteen of the world’s leading cycling teams will compete in this year’s race, including 3 incredible teams from Great Britain: Great Britain Cycling Team, INEOS Grenadiers, and TRINITY Racing.

This year, on Sunday 10th September, the final stage of the race will see cyclists set off from the Dramatic Heart of Wales, in the stunning surroundings of Margam Country Park. This is the first year that Margam Country Park will be hosting this event.

Final Stage Start at Margam Park

The 2023 Tour of Britain begins in Altrincham, proceeding to make its way to ten other cities before reaching the penultimate point at the picturesque Margam Country Park, Neath Port Talbot.

After a whole decade, this year’s tour marks the return of the legendary Caerphilly Mountain climb. The eighth and final race also includes a gradient of 10.1% for 1.3km within the riders’ 166.8k journey to the finish line.

This is sure to be a spectacular finale as the riders battle it out through the South Wales Valleys to the finishing line in Caerphilly.
