Aberavon Seafront

Port Talbot

With its 3-mile stretch of golden sands that shelve gently into the waters of Swansea Bay, Aberavon Beach is perfect for sunny days spent playing beach games, building sandcastles, swimming and enjoying chips and ice cream.

This seaside award‑winning resort is especially popular with families for its cleanliness, great facilities and the wide choice of places to eat nearby. Favourites like the Sand Rabbit, The Front, Cinnamon Kitchen, Francos, Remos, and the ever‑popular Memos beach cafe. It’s safe too, with lifeguards patrolling seasonally.

And if you run out of things to do on the sand, there’s plenty more to enjoy. Take on the challenges at Pirate Cove Adventure Golf, cool off at the Aqua Splash zone, or spend time at the adventure and toddler playgrounds. For rainy‑day options, the leisure and fitness centre and the six‑screen Reel Cinema are right on hand, giving families and film‑fans plenty of choice for a fun, big‑screen treat.

The beach is also a favourite with surfers and kite‑surfers, and Surf School Wales offers lessons and guidance in the dedicated water sports area at the eastern end of the beach.

Dogs are welcome all year round on the dock beach, although restrictions apply on the main beach during the summer months.
