Amman Valley Trotting Club

Established in 1979, Amman Valley Trotting Club is a distinctive sporting venue located at Tairgwaith in the Amman Valley. Developed on former mining land by local enthusiasts, the site has become a recognised centre for harness racing and community activity.

The track has hosted race meetings for decades and gained wider attention through television coverage and a world record set in 2010. Investment over the years has improved facilities and enhanced the site for visitors and local use.

The venue continues to host a range of events throughout the year, including harness racing, community activities and Dirt Track Riders Association (DTRA) motorcycle events, which attract competitors and spectators from across the UK.

The grounds are open year‑round and are well maintained, with paths and seating popular with walkers and cyclists. Visitors can also enjoy refreshments at the recently renovated Café at the Track
