Activities and Attractions

When nature has provided a playground as good as ours, we reckon it’d be foolish not to give it a try.

Thrill-seekers can get their heart rates up taking on Afan Forest Park’s mix of rock drops, step sections, berms, traverses and black runs, for the ultimate mountain biking experience. If you need to get wet to feel the adrenaline flowing, the surfing area at the eastern end of Aberavon Beach offers a steep, powerful ride during bigger swells.

For those preferring to lower their blood pressure, Neath Port Talbot is a walking wonderland. Miles of our trails wind through deep wooded valleys, the bedrock carved out by fast-flowing rivers and waterfalls. And if you climb our hills, you’ll find yourself stood atop a stage, viewing the natural theatre of sky, sea, land and people playing out below.

If all that still doesn’t appeal and you’re happier watching others in action, you’d be hard pushed to find a steelier set of physical specimens than our Pro14 rugby team, the Ospreys.
