Afan Forest Park is well known as one of the UK’s most exhilarating mountain biking destinations.
With 6 superb flowing trails ranging in length from 7km to over 40km and an extreme-graded bike park, Afan boasts more all-weather single track than any other mountain biking centre in Wales.
Trail difficulties start with the blue/moderate Blue Scar, fantastic for improving skills and developing confidence. The red/difficult Penhydd, Y Wal (The Wall), White’s Level and Blade Trails require greater energy levels, technical skill and confidence. And the black/severe W2 trail, which links Y Wal and White’s Level trails, has some of the most demanding descents and singletrack sections in the UK.
For absolute newcomers to mountain biking, there’s also the green/easy Rookie trail and a fun skills area.
