Recently, we were lucky enough to welcome Bristol-based blogger Anghard Paull to the Dramatic Heart of Wales.
Anghard, her husband, and their three children stayed in Riverside, a cosy two-bedroom self-catering house in the Afan Valley. This proved to be the perfect base for them, as countless adventures were just a short distance from Riverside’s doorstep.
Over the course of their long weekend, Angharad and her family dined at fantastic local eateries. They got to experience first-hand the close-knit community spirit only found in valleys like ours, with famous faces like Richard Burton and Michel Sheen adorning the walls of The Colliers Arms.
Despite the drizzly Welsh weather being true to form, Angharad and her family did not let the rain dampen their spirits. Over the course of their stay, the family explored Neath Indoor Market, walked the Old Parish Road trail in Afan Forest Park, learned about local heritage in the South Wales Miners’ Museum, and hired go-karts from Margam Park Adventure.
